Amazing! I just got the urge to update Jess' website. We are in Tustin, CA at a rehab center called High Hopes. We have been here for one week. I found it on the internet when I was looking for Quadricisers. They have 10 of them so we decided to come down and check them out before we make an attempt to purchase one. They are awesome and this place is truly a gift for anyone with a brain injury. The people that run it are so positive and they know how to really work someone who has been left behind.
We are still on the path of looking for a miracle. Jess is healthy, strong, a little too skinny, tall and has one too many seizures for our liking. We have tried so many different things and have so many more to try I'm sure. It is pretty sad to see just how many people there are walking the same path we are and having the same but different challenges. I am just so grateful I can be by my son's side and help him through this journey. Many are not so fortunate!
Jess has a new computer. Yes, I finally got him an eye gaze computer in which he can operate it with his eyes. Not consistently "yet" but we do get some pretty amazing results at times. I just want to talk to him so bad to see what his world consists of and how he is feeling. I feel he is comprehending more that we give him credit for andhe just can't find a way to respond back.
Well, I am not sure who checks this webite anymore but it is a good way for me to keep a history of our adventures. If you know of someone struggling with a brain injury or other challenges I would recommend you check out High Hopes!
With high hopes for Jess,
Pam, Chris & Jess

Hi Pam! It's been so long! I check his website about every other day, and I thought you had stopped posting! I actually saved his website in my task bar (I think that's what it's called). It sounds like Jess is moving right along! I still pray EVERY NIGHT!!!!
love, Livi (Olivia Masui)
Glad you did the update. Still check it all the time
I still check regularly and pray that someday the answers will come for you. Your hope inspires me.
I'm so happy you were inspired to write again. I also check your website and know you haven't written for some time. Sometimes we need a break, but don't ever break from God, for He is the only one that can give you your miracle.
Love and peace to you all,
Sharon and Dan Baczkowsi
I still check it out. Thanks for the update. Our thoughts are with you!!
Hi all -- I haven't been able to check your website in awhile and was glad to read the update. The folks at Pearl Road United Methodist Church and I still keep Jess (and Pam and Chris) in our continued prayers. Your strength is a lesson to us all in the power of faith. We'll keep on praying! Love, Lou Goodwin (the Christian cousin)
Pam,
I have checked into iPad apps at the Apple store site.
2 programs come to mind which may be of interest;
"Look in my eyes"
and "proloque2 go"
Hope you all are doing well.

Hi Pamy
I still check as often as I can. Thank you so much for the lovely wedding gift. Glad to hear that Jess is doing well. I miss you guys and I know my mom does too. Have a very Happy Holiday
Hi Pam, years ago I worked with Bill and Eltiena when I had a different role at American Funds. I still check on how Jess is doing whenever I have an opportunity to talk with Bill. Like others, I have this website bookmarked so I can check on Jess' progress but when you stopped posting, I stopped checking on a regular basis. I just received my Christmas card from Bill and thought I'd check on Jess again. I was quite surprised and pleased to see your update. I think about you, Jess and your family often and keep you in my prayers. Thank you for the update.
Warm regards,
Cheryl Christian
I continue to check your website, Pam. Although your updates are infrequent, your job goes on. I can not avoid thinking about your family everytime I come to Hailey, and occupy your lovely Woodside Blvd. house. Not a day goes by that I don't see Jess's name carved into the concrete in the driveway's corner, not a day goes by that I wonder if I'll run into you at the supermarket, the post office, or somewhere. All the best to your family for the new year. Here's hoping the new year will be especially good for Jess. I think it's time for a miracle.
Hi Pam
I keep checking, so glad you updated. Keep us posted. You are always on our mind. We keep on praying.
Love Treva
Anyone who has ever met you and your family would not likely forget you.
I just found this old update. I thought the site was down. So glad to find it.
Please do keep the updates coming when you are inspired.
Love and Aloha
Hi Dorothy,
I wanna tell you about this company I went through, called Egoscue. There are several offices in this country and I attached the locations. Because of my traumatic brain injury from a far accident when I was 16, my entire right side was contracted and hardly moved.
People have been telling me that mind and body are connected, but I didn't think much of this. But the first week I started my 8-week program at Egoscue, my mind started racing and began working how it used to. I think that as my body began to work like it used to, my mind healed too. But I don’t know if this is true.
One of the trainers who works at the gym I go to referred me to Egoscue in August of 2012. He said "Hey Olivia, I know someone who can help you.” With tears in my eyes, I said "Are you serious?" He gave me the number to Egoscue and look what happened :)
I asked this trainer "Are they going to charge me an arm and a leg for this?" He said "No." My 8-week program was $1495 (I met with them once a weeks for 8 weeks), but I weaseled my way into convincing them to let me pay $1295 :) So it was more than I would have liked to pay, but it was worth it. My body/walk/mind had been odd for too long. They not only HELPED me, they FIXED me. It took a little less than one year of doing these simple exercises every day.
love, Livi
